Emec to Help Build Tidal Testing Facility

Image: Wickimedia Orkney-based European Marine Energy Centre (Emec) will provide consultancy support to Incheon Metropolitan City in building a tidal testing facility. Incheon, one of South Korea’s main cities is looking to harness the power of the sea off its west coast. According to BBC, Emec will provide the design of the facility, as well as help with the construction and operation. Richard Morris, commercial director at Emec stated: “South Korea has a superb resource, with some of the world’s most active tidal waters off its shores and the administration’s drive to harness that power is commendable. “We look forward to working in collaboration with them.”
