Liquid Robotics Expands Federal Presence, Creates U.S. Federal Subsidiary

Liquid Robotics®, an ocean data services provider and developer of the Wave Glider the first wave-powered, autonomous marine robot, today announced at AUVSI 2012 the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Liquid Robotics Federal, LLC, and named Grant Palmer as the Senior Vice-President leading the subsidiary. A 32-year C4ISR technology market veteran and former Division President, L-3 GCS, Mr. Palmer has extensive experience in the US Defense and National Security sectors, as well as International Commercial/Military sectors. Prior to L-3 GCS, Mr. Palmer held key management positions at Cubic, The Spectrum Group, Tripoint Global Communications (now GD Satcom Technologies), GE/Gilat Spacenet, and Harris GCSD. The creation of the Subsidiary underscores Liquid Robotics’ long-term commitment to its largest and fastest growing customer base. "By standing up the Federal Subsidiary, Liquid Robotics will be able to dedicate additional resources and engineering talent necessary to address the full breadth of emerging robotic missions that Wave Glider technology offers to the Federal Government market," said Marv Langston, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, US DoD; and former Deputy Secretary of the Navy, Space and Electronic Warfare.

As navies and other governmental entities around the world look for innovative and more cost-effective solutions to persistent surveillance, monitoring, and communications on the seas and coastlines, they are looking to the revolutionary technology of Liquid Robotics’ Wave Glider. “Across the Government we are experiencing heightened demand for and interest in the Wave Glider‘s long endurance and persistent surveillance, communications, and advanced capabilities,” said Bill Vass, CEO of Liquid Robotics. “Establishing a dedicated federal subsidiary and attracting as accomplished a government market executive as Grant Palmer, provides the right infrastructure and the right leader, at the right time to address the
growing demands of the U.S. government to monitor and protect America’s maritime security interests and enable advanced scientific missions.” The new subsidiary reports to Bill Vass, the CEO of Liquid Robotics, and is headquartered in the Washington Metro Area. Liquid Robotics is currently hiring experienced business development managers, program managers, and systems engineers.
